Here it is, 19 tickets for the movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, my current record to break if that's possible. Hmm what other movie can actually make this possible, it's rare, probably Transformers 3 if it happens.
Speakin' of Transformers 2, hmm I felt there's somethin' missin' in the finale, here's my take on it, those who haven't seen the movie, possible spoilers alert
The movie was good but it's not really greater than the first one by that much. It's really cool to see more well known Transformers in this movie but the story is just too much and unnecessary with the fallen and primes, probably too soon or just plain complicated even for a Transformers fan like me.
The first scene of the movie was spot on of what i'm expectin' to see, and that's just the introduction of what they were doin in those 2 years workin' with humans to fight Decepticons. With that first impression I can expect this movie to be a great popcorn movie. But it was weird that it wasn't like that in the end, the introduction is far more excitin to me than the endin'.
The fight between Optimus Prime and 3 Decepticons is good, and the fight between Bumble Bee and the red thingy is aight, the fight with the twins and Devastator not so very much. I mean that's just all of the excitement you can get which I can remember. Base on the introduction I actually expect the finale to be at least twice as exciting but it's not, and i'm eager to see how would the autobots defeat Devastator? They didn't, he was defeated with a single human shot from the ship, what a waste of what could be a great battle between Devastator and multiple Autobots.
And the appearance of Sideswipe is good, the introduction shows him to be a very worthy robot against the Decepticons, he just look mean, and you expect to see him in action in the end but no I didn't see him in action after that first scene, other than the few robot battles i've mentioned above, you don't see much of robots battle robots, I felt I see more of humans and tanks and planes against Decepticons more, and the Autobots didn't do much other than protecting humans and Sam with the Matrix, don't see much fightin with them.
When the Decepticons reach earth in groups, I'm stoked to see a war, but it's Decepticons attacking them and humans fight back, now that's a bit of disappointment, they can just switch the introductin scene with the end.
Good to see they include Soundwave in the movie which is one of the favorites, although he doesn't do much, i do like his Decepticon voice, hmm just somethin about it.. :) I think people actually wanted to see this for the eye candy effects more than a serious story, well this movie doesn't need to be that serious, just robots fightin each other, that's fine with me, they can just take out the fallen and primes story line, really it is not the most important thing in the Transformers' universe, that's why I sense the long scene with the primes explainin the history of the primes, the pace has been compromise, not as fast pace action movie as I thought, a lot of explosions though, mostly done by humans, oh well..
I agree that addin' some comedy sense to a movie is an option, an action movie like this won't be a bad movie if there's no comedy in it, we went to see action not comedy anyway, take out the comedy put in the action, that will work better. But it's ok, the only problem is the jokes are lame in most case, the twins are annoyin and juvenile, i'm fine with that, the robot humping Megan Fox's leg, what da hell was that, and showing devastator's balls? oh.. geez please get rid of those unnecessary jokes, you're just makin your movie a joke.
Maybe the good news is, the good stuff is saved for last, will there be a Transformers 3, I think it will happen, seems to me this movie is quiet successful.
So overall is a must see movie, why not if you love the first one, you would like this one too, maybe i'm just expecting too much of it that the movie pales in comparison hehehe. I had a good time watching with 18 others, one of the most grueling & interestin.... event to plan...
