Predators with da S!

Click for bigger image

Finally it's here! I've been waiting for a good Predator movie for many years. After the first Predator movie starring the governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, it's really hard to surpass that, Predator 2 was not really that good, and the AVP franchise; don't let me get started on those. But the upcoming Predator movie appropriately named Predator(s) following footsteps from James Cameron's Alien(s) as the sequel to the first Alien movie. Here's a preview for Predators coming July 2010

It certainly looks promising IMO, produced by Robert Rodriguez of the Sin City franchise, starring Adrien Brody an Oscar winner famous for roles in movie such as King Kong and The Village, also Laurence Fishburne famous for bein Morpheus in The Matrix movies, finally another well known actor Topher Grace which is most known as Eric from the 70's Show and also Venom in Spiderman 3, hmm nothing could go wrong right?? We'll see..

Left 4 Dead 2 coming soon!

Just as I thought, the sequel to the widely played game Left 4 Dead. Hmm let's see if my wish list is fulfill, base on the teaser that you're about to see, yea there's gonna be some new shit goin on, oh yea please include more characters, better yet, let us customize our own character, now thats' kick ass. Of course another is what everyone at least complained about before, WE NEED MORE WEAPONS!, seems like they are listenin', good job.

I had fun with the first one and i'm sure the sequel is gonna be the same, even better I hope. Lets just wait till we can actually get our hands on it NOVEMBER this year, check out the teaser

Here's the announcement
Left 4 Dead 2 is the sequel to the best-selling and critically-acclaimed co-operative multiplayer smash from Valve, creators of the Half-Life, Portal, Team Fortress and Counter-Strike game properties. Left 4 Dead 2 promises to become one of 2009's top-selling games and set a new benchmark for co-operative action games.

The title adds melee combat to the award-winning L4D style of play, with items such as a chainsaw, frying pan, axe, baseball bat, and more.

Introducing the AI Director 2.0, L4D's dynamic gameplay is taken to the next level by giving the Director the ability to procedurally change weather effects, world objects, and pathways in addition to tailoring the enemy population, effects, and sounds to match the players' performance. The result is a unique game session custom fitted to provide a satisfying and uniquely challenging experience each time the game is played.

Finally, with new Survivors, boss zombies, weapons, and items, Left 4 Dead 2 offers a much larger game than the original with more co-operative campaigns, more Versus campaigns, maps for Survival mode at launch, and more.

Supported by a $10+ million marketing campaign, Left 4 Dead has sold over 2.5 million retail copies since it was released in November of 2008. Left 4 Dead 2 is targeted for release on Xbox 360 and the PC this November, and will be launched worldwide with a multi-million dollar marketing campaign across TV, Outdoor and Online.

Setting:
Left 4 Dead 2 is set at roughly the same time as the original – just after the outbreak that turned most of the population into various zombie mutants. Players assume the role of 4 new “Survivors,” each with their own personality and new dialog. The game leads these “Survivors” through the southeastern region of the US - from Savannah, Georgia thru the bayou country, and climaxing in New Orleans’ French Quarter.

Product Features:

* Next generation co-op action gaming from the makers of Half-Life, Portal, Team Fortress and Counter-Strike.
* AI Director 2.0: Advanced technology dubbed “The AI Director” drove L4D’s unique gameplay – customizing enemy population, effects, and music, based upon the players’ performance. L4D 2 features “The AI Director 2.0” which expands the Director’s ability to customize level layout, world objects, weather, and lighting to reflect different times of day.
* New melee weapons – axe, chainsaw, frying pan, baseball bat – allow you to get up close with the zombies
* Four different survivors. New Story. New dialogue.
* More game. On day one, L4D 2 features more co-operative campaigns, more campaigns and maps for the Versus game modes than L4D 1, plus support for Survival mode out of the box.
* Stats, rankings, and awards system drives collaborative play

Left 4 Dead 2 is coming to the Xbox 360 and PC on Novemeber 17, 2009.

They also release a possible campaign poster, looks like it's gonna be 4 new slayers, hmm I wonder if I would miss the previous 4, or maybe i'm sick of them already, like I said, we need option for cutomize characters and more characters hehehe, I don't care if the customized characters won't appear on the campaign poster, as long as people see me in the game, i'm cool.

Modern Warfare 2 looks excitin'

I've never actually finished Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, but going through it for a few hours I can say that it is a well made game. The game actually felt like a big movie production and you're part of the movie.

And as always if there's a sequel to somethin', it usually means the first one is good, so as news started to appear about the next installment of this franchise, fans are very enthusiastic about it, after viewing the trailer, there's no question about it.

Now doesn't the opening score sounds familiar?

Few Transformers 2 TV Spot

Here we get more more more out of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, 3 TV Spot has been spotted at Michael Bay's website.

3 of those clips are no longer than 40 seconds I recon, I kinda like the first one as it shows more unseen stuff, one notable one is a glimpse of Devestator's transformation, second has a little new stuff too, and also a note that Linkin Park is producing the music for the movie, the last one doesn't show any new stuff.

Now lets just view the damn thing ;)

Beam me up Scotty!

It's been a while since i've watched any Star Trek related shows, the last movie I remember watchin' was Star Trek Nemesis years ago, and the last TV Series i've watched is even longer I can't remember any of it. The new Star Trek movie coming next week looks pretty promising, and if you all didn't know it was directed by J.J. Abrams, famous for the movie Cloverfield and TV series 'Lost', there's always somethin' hidden in this movie that relates to ...him I believe.

Remember the time where the movie Cloverfield show hidden stuff like the Dharma Initiative logo from the TV Series 'Lost', so what is hidden in Star Trek this time?

Base on the picture below, people has discovered that one of the high rise building shown in the Star Trek trailer contains the company name 'Tagruato' which is the Japanese company for the movie Cloverfield, what does this mean, who knows, maybe he's bein cheap and reused props from Cloverfield for Star Trek, but I think that's just J.J. Abrams.

In the end, I look forward to watch this movie, I think it's a fresh new beginning for the franchise and for someone who doesn't know a lot about Star Trek, it's good to see the beginnin' of it all.

REVIEW: The movie was overall good, good story for those who wanted to know the beginin' of it all, the new beginin of a huge Star Trek universe, i'm not a Trekkie but as a movie buff, I find it quite entertainin', good actors; right on with the characters i'll say, some comedy, lots of action and effects, bring in the sequels.
Rating 4½/5

Transformers footage & montage!

These teases are killin' me, can't get enough of the upcoming movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Recently Michael Bay, the director for the movie received an 2009 Vanguard Award at ShoWest, and I guess he was pleased with that; that he debuted a clip from the movie and a quick montage of robots that will appear in the movie, a few of the robots that you knew appearing and a lot more with them in different shots, most notably a glimpse of Devastator (Picture shown above)

I tend to wait put high quality things up when they're become available, and well there's suppose to be a higher quality version of it, but this can't wait. Paramount; the movie label asked Michael Bay to remove his post and clip, so it's not available there anymore but he was kind enough to have put it out and it was briefly in YouTube. But it's still out there, so here's where I come in. Not to surprise you with what you may call "spoilers" depending on who you are, here's a short description, first 1:35 min of the 2:31 min clip is where you'll see Shia talkin' with Bumble Bee with Megan with them, if you don't wanna know what they talked about, don't view this clip, after that it's just a quick montage of some robots.

Robots in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Some CGI image of Transformers appeared online that will be appearing on the sequel coming June this year, you'll atleast can put your finger on it and say, "That robot is gonna be in the movie or not". But of course these are just CGI design of the robots, it may or may not appear in the final movie, who knows. But nevertheless here's the CGI images

We'll start of with the main character, The Fallen!

Here's a first look at 2 new Autobots (the good guys), Skids and Mudflaps. I don't really recall who they are in the cartoon universe, but here's some info, Skids (the green one) transform into Chevrolet Beat, maybe a concept car. And Mudflap (the red one) transforms into Chevrolet Trax.

Now here's another from the Decepticons, this looks like a real sick machine IMO, this Decepticons is called Sideswipe which transform into Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, probably another concept car.

Ironhide, a worthy ally

Ravage, if I remember correctly, this Jaguar like robot use to be a cassette tape that ejects from Soundwave in the cartoon universe, but of course from generation to generation it evolves into somethin' bigger and bigger, if it were a cassette still it won't fit into Soundwave no more hah.

Save the best for last, here's one of the biggest transformers you'll see in the movie, I guess... This is Devastator, you remember him? You know....the 6 green contruction vehicle called the Contructicons that form Devastator? I wonder if its that huge tricycle thingy found in the teaser.

Diablo 3 User Interface

Another anticipatin' game comin' from Blizzard in edition to Starcraft II is Diablo 3. Again the last game; Diablo 2 was a well known game many years ago, probably 8-10 years ago, a game playable on a system with 800Mhz CPU speed, that's the system i'm using that time.

With new technology available today who wouldn't wanna play the next Diablo with better graphics and effects? I've seen the demo which is great even in an early stange of development.

And today we got some screen shots that shows the UI (User Interface)
Lookin' good

Very colorful design

Colorful which reminds some of you with World Of Warcraft
Some of the hardcore Diablo fans don't like the fact that it's design with a wide variety of colors and they made it even brighter than the previous Diablo series, well of course that time World of Warcraft doesn't exist yet, after WoW the design evolve, which I don't really care, as long as the game is great to play.

Some talented fans even go to the extent of modifying the color tone that shows what fans think Diablo 3 should look like. Here's some example (Click for larger version)

I agree that the fan modified version looks more like the previous Diablo, the dark/black theme that makes the game special, with the new colorful design, they are complanin that it looks like WoW more, the developers have seen the picture above and did commented on them, saying that it looks great but with those colors it's hard for them to incorporate into it's engine, don't know what that means. Release date has not been set yet, so we'll have to wait and see after it does.

For those that haven't seen the trailer yet or maybe don't know what's Diablo all about, here's a trailer for you.

Fast & Furious next month!

Before lookin farther to the next upcoming movie, looks like i've overlooked the next big movie which is due April this year, looks like we're gonna get another Fast And Furious movie, hmm base on my knowledge, this is the 4th of the franchise.

Looks like all 4 of the original cast members of the first movie is back, if you watch the 3rd one a.k.a Tokyo Drift, you knew that there's gonna be a 4th one, Vin Diesel's character appear at the end of the movie is that indication. So what will this movie plot be.. we'll see. So for now, let your eyes feast on the trailer.
