Beam me up Scotty!

It's been a while since i've watched any Star Trek related shows, the last movie I remember watchin' was Star Trek Nemesis years ago, and the last TV Series i've watched is even longer I can't remember any of it. The new Star Trek movie coming next week looks pretty promising, and if you all didn't know it was directed by J.J. Abrams, famous for the movie Cloverfield and TV series 'Lost', there's always somethin' hidden in this movie that relates to ...him I believe.

Remember the time where the movie Cloverfield show hidden stuff like the Dharma Initiative logo from the TV Series 'Lost', so what is hidden in Star Trek this time?

Base on the picture below, people has discovered that one of the high rise building shown in the Star Trek trailer contains the company name 'Tagruato' which is the Japanese company for the movie Cloverfield, what does this mean, who knows, maybe he's bein cheap and reused props from Cloverfield for Star Trek, but I think that's just J.J. Abrams.

In the end, I look forward to watch this movie, I think it's a fresh new beginning for the franchise and for someone who doesn't know a lot about Star Trek, it's good to see the beginnin' of it all.

Trailer 3
Provided by Quicktime

REVIEW: The movie was overall good, good story for those who wanted to know the beginin' of it all, the new beginin of a huge Star Trek universe, i'm not a Trekkie but as a movie buff, I find it quite entertainin', good actors; right on with the characters i'll say, some comedy, lots of action and effects, bring in the sequels.
Rating 4½/5

Is Domino's Pizza in trouble?

UPDATE [25-04-09]: My colleague has informed me that the disgusting video has been removed from YouTube, by herself? hmmmm, I guess she made some sort of deal with YouTube, I tried to look for other users who have uploaded the video but no luck, however there's some footage of it on some news. If you've missed the original clip, click here to view another version

Mostly anyone probably have tried Domino's Pizza before, but there's a clip i'm about to show here that might change your mind about eating out again. Of course this is not directly blamed on Domino's; it's a reminder of eatin' out in general.

After the video circulated in the internet mainly in YouTube, Domino's USA was warn about the issue and action has been taken. Both employee Kristy Hammonds and Michael Setzer has been fired and arrested by the police and could face 4 months to 1 year in prison for their deeds.

The restaurant closed for 1 day to sanitize, throwing all the food and paper wrappings that were not sealed by the manufacturer, then business as usual the next day.

Below is a clip of the president of Domino's USA Patrick Doyle responding to the disgusting incident.

It's really a mystery why they do it and how it was leaked into the internet, most probably did it as a joke and posted it themselves online, now that's whack.

Britains Got Talent - Susan Boyle

LOL! There's a lot of funny things you can see in the television and in internet nowadays, most talent shows do anyway, like the Idol series worldwide, but it sure is entertainin', and I guess contestant knows that and will go participate even when they don't have the singin ability at all, family and friends who encourage them to go because they think they are good are obviously hatin' them LOL. Susan Boyle is one example..

And one recent show call 'Britains Got Talent' which is the same as the American version of the show, I agree that this shows main focus is talents overall and not only their singin' abilities which can also be a talent, and most talents are really special, but if you come to this show and sing, make sure you are really really good, maybe havin' somewhat unique and special voice; a talent.

So here's one of the contestant for Britains Got Talent; Susan Boyle is 47 and her talent is singin', LOL, judges includes that British guy from 'Americans Got Talent' and of course the British dude from 'American Idol' Simon Cowell, check it out.

I wonder how you felt after seein' that and what you think of my earlier comments about this. It was just to make this clip shine, from what i've seen most already spoil the nature of this clip by enterin' title that symbolize great singing and great talent, I guess people rather see some funny stuff than a talent IMO haha. So I hope my methods surprised you, I mean..look at the faces of the audience and the judges, they all judge her by her looks and expect to laugh whatever she's plannin' to do, and when she started to sing, look at their faces after that, the cheer and applause, I gotha be serious, my tears flow, what a tear jerker, don't judge people by it's cover.

Vijay Singh's hole in one!

I'm not a golf person, although I did watch a lengthy golf tournament in Hatyai (long story) when Tiger Woods was playin', everyone knows I believe that, you win by puttin' the ball into the hole, that's it.

And if they plan to do a movie about Golf (maybe not such a good idea), they would script some crazy things like hittin' the ball that skips through water and drop in the hole, on top of that, a hole in one (a first hit that enters the hole), but this is no movie magic, Vijay Singh pulled that off, for real!

Transformers footage & montage!

These teases are killin' me, can't get enough of the upcoming movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Recently Michael Bay, the director for the movie received an 2009 Vanguard Award at ShoWest, and I guess he was pleased with that; that he debuted a clip from the movie and a quick montage of robots that will appear in the movie, a few of the robots that you knew appearing and a lot more with them in different shots, most notably a glimpse of Devastator (Picture shown above)

I tend to wait put high quality things up when they're become available, and well there's suppose to be a higher quality version of it, but this can't wait. Paramount; the movie label asked Michael Bay to remove his post and clip, so it's not available there anymore but he was kind enough to have put it out and it was briefly in YouTube. But it's still out there, so here's where I come in. Not to surprise you with what you may call "spoilers" depending on who you are, here's a short description, first 1:35 min of the 2:31 min clip is where you'll see Shia talkin' with Bumble Bee with Megan with them, if you don't wanna know what they talked about, don't view this clip, after that it's just a quick montage of some robots.

Google Earth easter egg

Google not only a search engine although it started that way, has provided a lot of cool stuff. One of the earliest known application is Google Earth. Latest version is version 5.

But I believe most of you already knew about this interestin' application, unless there's a place you're curious to see from space, it's just to big to browse around, it seems like a huge work to bring us this application, and still they have the time to have fun with it.

They've included the planet Mars for you to view as well, so why would you visit Mars anyway, there's nothing there to see, other than the ice cap on the north pole and the famous human face like formation on the ground. But I wanted to introduce you to someone there, yes...a Martian livin there!

So here's how, first of course you need Google Earth. Then on top there's a planetary button, click and choose Mars.

Once there, you can see a few color dots on Mars, some places named by scientist and also you can find famous landscapes. In the search bar marked in the red box; search for Meliza, yes a female Martian.

Now you see MELIZA, the female (I think) Martian, appropriately placed near the famous landmark call Cydonia (the face on Mars)

And my chat with her, hahaha

Here's my other conversation with Meliza:

Meliza:Greetings, Earthling! Tell me about yourself.

Earthling:hi Martian

Meliza:Are you sure? Maybe hi earthling

Earthling:but you are not an Earthling

Meliza:What makes you think I am not an earthling ?

Earthling:because you are not on Earth

Meliza:My friend Marvin has been meaning to use his Eludium Pu-36 on the Earth. He's always annoyed with how Earth obstructs his view of Venus.

Earthling:go ahead

Multiple Core Tips

Nowadays seems like everyone at least has a dual core processor by now, well....not all but most of you do. Dual Core processors such as the AMD Athlon X2 and Intel's Core 2 Duo are the mainstream choice now and most applications and games are developed to take full advantage of dual processing power, it's a huge advantage over a single core, there's nothing you need to do to use your dual core on those stuff, is either you have it or you don't, but there's some other small things you can tweak to take advantage of your dual core, you have it why not use it, here's a simple one you can do to speed up boot up time.

I heard people complainin' why would their dual core processor boot up speed is the same as a single core computer, well most of you don't know that Windows didn't actually use 2 cores to boot up windows, I guess there's an unnecessary thought to it, like i said before, if you have dual core, USE IT! Fortunately window OS allow such option. I'll use Windows XP as an example, note for Vista users at the end.

1. On Windows XP, hold Windows Key + R, or click Start, then Run, to bring up the following:

2. type msconfig then Enter.

3. You'll see somethin' similar to this:

4. Click on BOOT.INI found on top of the available tabs. Then click Advanced Options.. shown below.

5. Here you'll see a few options, the one we'll using is /NUMPROC, so select it and you will have the option to choose how many processors to use, choose 2 if you have dual core of course hehe. 3 or 4 cores will be available if you have more than 2 cores.

6. Click OK twice then choose whether you want to Restart now or later.

For Windows Vista users, the process is similar through steps 1-4, after that steps, you'll see somethin like this, obviously that's just an example for people are using Quad Cores (4 cores) like AMD Athlon X4 and Intel Core 2 Quad, I believe it will work with tri core processor like AMD Phenom II X3 as well, just select the appropriate number of cores for your processor.

NOTE: Once restarted you may be notified of some changes which was made in msconfig, tick the check box on the lower left corner and then OK, so it won't appear everytime you boot Windows

Whether you'll see any improvement or not is up to you to decide whether to use this tip or not, i'll just leave it like that even if there's no improvement, no harm done :)

Some CGI image of Transformers appeared online that will be appearing on the sequel coming June this year, you'll atleast can put your finger on it and say, "That robot is gonna be in the movie or not". But of course these are just CGI design of the robots, it may or may not appear in the final movie, who knows. But nevertheless here's the CGI images

Here's a first look at 2 new Autobots (the good guys), Skids and Mudflaps. I don't really recall who they are in the cartoon universe, but here's some info, Skids (the green one) transform into Chevrolet Beat, maybe a concept car. And Mudflap (the red one) transforms into Chevrolet Trax.

Ravage, if I remember correctly, this Jaguar like robot use to be a cassette tape that ejects from Soundwave in the cartoon universe, but of course from generation to generation it evolves into somethin' bigger and bigger, if it were a cassette still it won't fit into Soundwave no more hah.

Save the best for last, here's one of the biggest transformers you'll see in the movie, I guess... This is Devastator, you remember him? You know....the 6 green contruction vehicle called the Contructicons that form Devastator? I wonder if its that huge tricycle thingy found in the teaser.
